For many years the Mad Hatter at The Dark of the Matinee (http://www.mcneilmatinee.blogspot.com/) and Simon at Screen Insight (http://www.screeninsight.blogspot.com/) produced and hosted two LAMMY-Award nominated podcasts – and in Hatter’s case, LAMMY-Award Winning podcasts: The Matineecast and The Simon and Jo Film Show.
A few months back Hatter and Simon combined their forces and have planned out 12-episodes that will focus upon different Film Directors that have – or are becoming – iconic in their style and filmmaking potential.
The first episode was released on 4th June 2011 and, each week, a new director will be tackled by focussing on one film that Hatter and Simon believe is the best film to pull out many important aspects of that film director. For example – Using GOODFELLAS to discuss the filmmaking and career of Martin Scorsese.
In addition to this, you can win a prize too – every week, Simon and Hatter will put out three questions each and, over the course of 12-episodes, you can send in your answers and be in with a chance of winning a Blu-Ray or DVD of your choice!
