LAMBcast #75: Roll Your Own Top 5

by Shep. Burman · July 12, 2011 · LAMBcast, Podcasts · 5 Comments

The plus-sized episode 75 brings back another recurring topic to the LAMBcast – namely, Roll Your Own Top 5, where each LAMBcaster comes to the table with a list of their imagination. On board were Nick, Sam, Dan, Courtney and Dylan to discuss everything from book adaptations to non-spidery spiders to title sequences and even something that might tie in to the picture you see to you right.

While I’m here, I must give my most sincere apology to Dan for calling shenanigans on him at one point. I stand humbled, as the mustache I declared a fu manchu is actually a horseshoe. Thanks to Wikipedia for setting me straight: “The horseshoe is often confused with the fu manchu, which is grown only from the upper lip while the sides remain shaven.”

Also on tap:

* Rants of the Week
* Raves of the Week
* Last LAMB Standing

If you’re interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster – we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod’s Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too. Either here in the comments section or to or to our Facebook page. Also, we’re on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it’s a bad one.

Thanks for listening!

    Good stuff guys.

    Enjoyed it.

  2. Andy Buckle says:

    Great show guys. Very enjoyable. Really appreciate the shout out too Sam!

    CS, that spider in Wild Wild West is burned in my memory too. What a woeful film that is!

    Also, your discussion of the Harry Potter films related to what I was talking about with some friends the other day. I’m going to disagree with Dan, but I thought that Emma Watson portrayed her character best in the early films, and gave the better early performances. Daniel Radcliffe was awful, and has remained the weakest link throughout the franchise. Ron was dreadful in I think the second film especially, but I find him to be pretty solid. While they have all improved, I come back to thinking that Emma Watson has the most talent, because I thought she was excellent in Deathly Hallows Part I.

    Anyway, looking forward to the next LAMBcast!

    Good show guys!

    I’m a little disappointed though that you aren’t doing an entire rant episode focused around Transformers Dark of the Moon. =)

  4. Dylan says:

    @ Joel – You would wish upon us two and a half hours of misery? Or would we be allowed to rant about it without having seen it?

  5. Joel Burman says:

    Its not that awful if you leave your brain at home. =)
