Amir, from the blog Amiresque, and I have just started a new series called “A Good Year” in which we discuss a year in which a particular cinematic trend was prevalent – be it a strong slew of films from one director, several great performances from a single actor, or the revival of a genre. In our first episode we’re talking about the recent year 2007, and the Western revival that took place with the films “No Country for Old Men”, “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”, and “3:10 to Yuma”.
