In this time of celebration and rebirth, I thought it only fitting to reflect back on the LAMB for a bit.  To talk about how it all began, where it’s been, what’s gone right and maybe wrong, and where we might be going.  I was joined by Joel, Nick Powell, Kristen, and Pat on air, and I must give thanks to Nostra, Branden, Candice, Fogs and Jessica for their birthday messages (the latter two even sent in voice mails!).  Finally, thanks to Andina, who wrote up a whole post wishing the LAMB a happy birthday.

Also on tap:

* Rants and Raves of the Week (Sorry, not this week.)
* Last LAMB Standing

A few notes:

* The show can be found, of course, via iTunes – just do a search for “LAMBcast.” Also, I always post a link to the show on the LAMBcast’s Facebook page, and there’s a player there if you’d like to listen online. The direct RSS feed is: http://lambcast.podomatic.com/rss2.xml

* Shows will eventually make their way to the LAMBcast Archives. If you’d ever like to catch up on back episodes, go there.

* If you’re interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster – we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod’s Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. Opening song by Cake. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too – if you’d like yours read on a future show, leave it in the comments section at the LAMB. Please visit and like our Facebook page, and finally, we’re on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it’s a bad one.

Thanks for listening!

  1. Great show!

    I was wondering why the link to the podcast isn’t is this post as well as it’s an extra step to go to Facebook if you want to stream it.

    1. Thanks!

      That’s done for bandwidth/cost issues. I can’t put the type of streaming player that shows up on Facebook here, and the one that does show up is kinda screwy in the way that it works with Podomatic. The one issue I’ve had with them is the way they count your bandwidth kind of regardless of whether or not someone hits play on a player. I don’t understand it totally but I know when a player used to be here, we’d run out of space quickly and that would cause all sorts of problems. Downloads don’t have that effect.

        1. I don’t like not having an embedded player on the post directly unfortunately Podomatic doesn’t have a very good player for the reasons Dylan are describing.

          However, look from the bright side of it? Now its super easy to give us a iTunes review! 🙂

          1. It would be if I listened to podcasts at home on my iPad, but I usually listen to them at work either on my PC or my Android tablet. Don’t have an iPhone 😉

    1. How serendipitous! I was looking for more lamb/sheep birthday images, but they were all too similar to what Joel had already used. So I just wanted an iconic movie birthday scene.

  2. The other cancelled game I wanted to bring up but forgot during the recording was Jason’s Photo Shop competition. I think thats the best proof of a great game that unfortunately didn’t work out. Also when it comes to Man I Love Films success with screenshot game I do think that Facebook is the key for that one. At least when seeing others also host similar games. I have gotten two admissions for people who wan’t to run our Facebook page and I’ll be suggesting to the one who is chosen that he starts up that one again but on Facebook this time.

    Also something I thought about during recording is how many new LAMBs find us by the sheer amount of banners on member bloggers. Especially when they on multiple members within the same sub-commenting group. Its a very good word of mouth source.
