The latest Movie of the Month has been decided upon!

LAMBMOTM18

Sometimes it takes perseverance to make a film Movie of the Month. This past month we had six films up for the voting, three of which had been put forward multiple times before, and for one of those lucky three it’s now time to discuss it. Jason has put The Babadook forward several times this year so far, Joel has put Body Double forward more times than I can remember, but the actual winner was me, Jay (hurrah!) with my choice of Chinatown, which I’m overjoyed about the winning because, just like Body Double and The Babadook, I’ve never actually seen it, and now I’ve got a chance to.

As I won the poll the Lambcast show devoted to Chinatown will just seem like any other episode, because I’ll be hosting the feature discussion on the film as well as everything else.

As always, when that Lambcast is posted, any reviews the rest of the LAMB wishes to write about the film in question will be posted too. Please send in any submissions – new or old – to jaycluitt(at)hotmail.com by Monday 2nd November. That day will also see the next poll go up, so if you would like to champion a film for December’s Holiday Special MOTM, be sure to get in touch as well.

Here are the results of this month’s poll:

Life vs Film will be ineligible to champion a MOTM contender for the next three months. Journeys in Classic Film still has two months of ineligibility left. Man I Love Films will be ineligible for one more month. Forgotten Films in now eligible again.
