Welcome to the new LAMB feature where we breakdown big, new trailers…in the comments section! Post your thoughts below and beware potential spoilery theories and opinions!
Last time, we talked about The Lego Batman Movie, but now we’re taking a peek at Alice Through The Looking Glass.

So I’ll be the first to say, this just kind of looks like more of the same Burtony/Deppy stuff, although this isn’t even directed by Burton now. I remember being pretty stoked for the first movie, even saw it in IMAX, but I was underwhelmed. And I also can’t tell if I like Mia Wasikowska (don’t even feel like looking her up). Andrew Scott is cool and all, but he doesn’t seem like he’ll be in it a lot. The White Rabbit cover is cool (took them long enough to feature that song – or did they do it in previous films/trailers? I don’t even know). Nice to hear Rickman’s voice. All in all – pretty meh on this. Will probably pass.
What I always wanted…Sucker Punch mixed with Tim Burton’s bleak Alice In Wonderland world…dragon and all.(Eye Roll). I’m sure stoned kids will loved this. I think I am gonna pass….yeah…that’s a hard pass.
If a movie reminds you of Sucker Punch, it can’t be good.
For as little as I can remember of the first film (or, as I like to call it, The Film That Made Me Swear Off 3D Forever), this could well be the trailer for the exact same movie. Except now I know for definite I’ll never be seeing it. And Rickman is for sure being used in the trailers to try and entice fans in for one of his last roles, which is such a shame.
Yeah maybe the one thing that could make it different would be Sacha Baron Cohen…but did he even speak in the trailer?
Coming from someone who enjoys Burton’s Alice as a VERY guilty pleasure, this honestly looks about the same, only with elements of American McGee thrown in. Gotta admit, I’m kinda looking forward to it.
Wow Can’t believe that was “P!nk” performing that clunking cover of Jefferson Aeroplane’s “White Rabbit”.
I didn’t care for the original and while this looks pretty there is nothing that makes me want to see what is essentially a Neverending Story sequel under the Alice Wrapper.
