  1. This was worth the curious wait!

I could have done without the intro, but otherwise, this was great. The scroll through all the WB Batman movies was a nice touch. I love that Batman calls his computer ‘puter. And it’s just the voice of Siri. And of course the microwave bit was great. I do that all the time.

This was good but I’m excited to hear the rest of the cast, especially Ralph Fiennes as Alfred.

  2. Did anyone catch the Batman zinging the second Dawn of Justice trailer when he emphasized…”NOT ALL…of my best hero moments and zingers”? The fact that this trailer…which looks great by the way…got pushed a day…leads me to believe there is a big sh%tstorm going on at Warner right now with these critic reactions. Damage control might have been better served in releasing this trailer yesterday…not making the press of negative reviews take up the news cycle.

  3. Arnett is neck and neck with Affleck as best Batman right now. This is a minimal trailer just to establish tone…but I dig it. Bats was one of the best characters in Lego Movie. And I think having members of the JLA in the film to not make it a one note, one joke movie, will help. You think WB could have used this positive press…I don’t know…YESTERDAY!!!!!

    1. He’s great. What will be cool is if they get any (all?) previous Batmen to voice some cameos. That would be cool. Yeah I think I agree with Jay now, if they had released it yesterday, it may have gotten lost in the swirl of negative reviews.

  4. Maybe they thought if this was released yesterday it might have gotten lost amidst the negative reviews for BVS:DOJ. Regardless, this is about what I was expecting, seeing some day-in-the-life Batman antics without giving away much plot. It doesn’t make me any more excited, given I was already really excited about it and we’ve not been shown anything unexpected, but I’m still very much on board with this. It’s my #1 Most Anticipated Movie of 2017 so far. Seeing the rest of the cast in (presumably) the next trailer will be great though.

  5. Awesome trailer! Would have been perfect if the intro was a little shorter. Wish the distributors of live action films would take some notice on how to compile their trailers.

    1. The Cyborg film is weird. Actor didn’t even know he was getting the film until he saw a press release or something, right? And wasn’t there a rumor they were cancelling it? But I’m still excited.

  6. I wonder if the “better late than never” academy will overcompensate for the HORRENDOUS decision of snubbing The Lego Movie by giving this film an Oscar win. (Handed a paper) Oh, wait I’ve just been handed a paper that says…yes…yes they will.

  7. Only problem…I never really laughed. Still interested in it, I just would have liked to have been a bit more amused. The scroll through the numerous Batflicks was the best part.

  8. I really liked it and great to see a trailer which doesn’t give anything away, even if you can’t help but feel that this movie could have just been churned out as a DTV movie, but hey while there’s chingle chingle to be made right?

I may have laughed alittle too much at the Microwave part, much like the fact he never takes off his mask, which I hope like Judge Dread is a character trait they keep in the full film. I agree with Jay that this is no doubt going to be one of those films were the beauty is in the smaller details.

Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” is an inspired choice for the trailer and no doubt had the film makers glad they didn’t use the old school blue and yellow costume. Saying that maybe they will do a new mix to accompany an Adam West cameo maybe?

Personally I’d wait for the DVD as doubtful the big screen is going to add anything to this one, while still can’t figure out if the figures are computer generated or actual lego figures being moved which I guess is a plus?

The downside? That stupid Joblo watermark, as I really don’t need the distraction of that hack

  9. This might be the first time that a Wiz Khalifa track has worked for a trailer; it’s actually kind of genius pairing Black And Yellow with Batman. Also, this might be that good sign of the release of Deadpool that everyone was hoping for. Rather than focusing on endlessly dismal and murky overtones like… pretty much every Batman film ever made, not to mention far too many superhero movies of late, this film actually looks like it’s going to have fun. If the movie is as promising as this trailer, it’s a slice of fun I think we could all use with this current trajectory.
