What, ho! Good podcast listener! Afore you sally forth upon your quest through Sherwood Forest, mayhaps thine passage could stand an audible accompaniment? A delightful ditty upon Allan A’Dayle’s finest lute, perhaps? Or wouldst though rather another of Friar Tuck’s raucous shanties? No? Well how about a podcast all about the movie adaptations of Robin Hood?
Jay Cluitt was joined by Heather Baxendale, Kristen Lopez, Mario Brown and Todd Liebenow to predominantly discuss 1938’s The Adventures of Robin Hood with a swash-buckling Errol Flynn, 1991’s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with a skinny-dipping Kevin Costner and 2010’s Robin Hood, with a not-really-playing-Robin-Hood Russell Crowe. We also discussed a few other adaptations as well, revealed our Rants and Raves of the Week and played some Last Lamb Standing.
The show can be found, of course, via iTunes – just do a search for “LAMBcast” or listen and download to it on Podomatic here: http://lambcast.podomatic.com/entry/2016-03-16T17_20_24-07_00

I enjoyed your conversation immensely, the Errol Flynn Robin Hood is my favorite film and I was glad that you all seemed to like it. Here is a link to a post I did on the 75th Anniversary a couple of years ago if you like: http://kirkhamclass.blogspot.com/p/my-favorite-film.html
Also, I heard you discussing the Ultra Card for Batman v Superman and wondering if people really use them or see films often enough to justify it. I did not get that card for Batman v. Superman or Interstellar which someone believed was also a film that offered it. I did however get one of the 1000 cards sold for SPECTRE. It allowed me to see the film 7 times in the theater and I changed some opinions about it along the way. If you are interested in a follow up on that as well, here is another link: http://kirkhamclass.blogspot.com/2016/02/spectre-reconsidered.html
I’ve only done one podcast as a guest before, that was with Todd on the Forgotten Filmcast, I think I’d fit in with the podcast pretty well if you would be willing to give me a shot. I’ll look for the info about participating, I know you mention that it is in the forums somewhere. Great show.
Glad you liked the show Richard, and we’ll be happy to have you on any time, I remember you being a good guest on Todd’s show. I’ll get in touch the next time I’m recruiting for guests, which should be in a few weeks time. And thanks for the links to your relevant posts.
