With the upcoming release of Shane Black’s The Nice Guys, a 70s buddy movie about two mis-matched guys trying to solve some kind of case, this week we’ve gone back to look at the beginnings of Shane Black’s career, a 80s buddy movie about two mis-matched guys trying to solve some kind of case, and the ensuing sequels of varying quality and cohesiveness.
Jay Cluitt was joined by Heather Baxendale, Nick Rehak, Will Slater and newcomer Justin Polizzi to discuss the four movies, the joy of Joe Pesci, psychic policemen, random sharks and death by surfboard. Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week, and a couple of games of Last Lamb Standing, with Will taking his usual unique approach to hosting a game.
