The Movie of the Month for February 2017 is…

The latest Movie of the Month has been decided upon!

Once again it has been proven that one of the best ways for your chosen film to become elected Movie of the Month is to get in contact with some of the film-makers behind it on Twitter. That surely must be the reason why, after champion Vern hit up the likes of Lloyd Kaufman and Lea Thompson, who both either replied or retweeted, Howard the Duck became the latest film to earn the title, so that’s what we’ll be talking about in February!

Congratulations and letters of complaint go to Vern of the Vern’s Video Vortex, ScreenTrax and the Film Pasture, who in winning the poll gets the chance to host the upcoming Lambcast devoted to the film.

As always, when the Lambcast show is posted, any reviews the rest of the LAMB wishes to write about the film in question will be posted too. Please send in any submissions – new or old – to jaycluitt(at) by Monday 13th February. Around that day will also see the next poll go up, so if you would like to champion the Movie of the Month for February 2017, get in touch.

Here are the results of this month’s poll:

Vern’s Video Vortex will be ineligible to champion a MOTM contender for the next three months. Journeys in Classic Film still has two months of ineligibility left. Flights, Tights and Movie Nights will be ineligible for one more month. The 1001 Movies Podcast is now eligible again.
