Eight years ago, the Lambcast did a draft of Tom Hanks movies, which was probably great, but eight years is an eternity in modern social media so we are taking another swing at this.
Let’s face it, Hanks is a prolific actor who continues to work at a top level. It makes sense that there are more than a dozen new films of his that we can include in the draft, many of which contain award worthy performances. We have team executives Paul McGuire Grimes, Nick Rehak, Tony Coogan and Lisa Leaheey joining Richard this week to construct a slate of films that you can vote for.
Some of the podcasters choose films carefully in the belief that their selections would influence the voting public. Some guests threw caution to the wind and picked movies that they loved and hoped would draw as many votes as they did laughs. We also had the usual sniping of films that the very next person in the draft had their eye on, so there is a requisite amount of cursing as well.
So whether you like your Hanks hard boiled, soft and romantic or simply served with a side of Meg Ryan, we have some films for you. We may have even found a way to provoke Jay without him being on the show. We skipped the game but there were plenty of things to share in the Rants/Raves/Review section to justify your listening in.
