Despite the controversies, DCEU hatred, and frequent delays, “The Flash” has finally arrived in movie theaters and we have a cast of heroes worthy of talking about it.
This follow-up to the Justice League, was a long time coming, and it picks up as if the League is operating everyday as an International Intervention Team, fighting crime, watching for alien invasions, and generally patrolling the Earth looking for problems to solve. Alfred and Batman (the Batflect version) are supervising and Barry Allen gets called in to assist. What happens afterwards is the subject of a long section in our podcast this week.
While it does look for a time that The Flash will take a backseat to the restored Michael Keaton version of Batman, that does not happen. Jeanette Ward, Thomas Stoneham-Judge, Bubbawheat and James Wilson, line up to take shots at bad CGI, praise the performance of star Ezra Miller, cheer on all the versions of Batman that show up in the story, and reflect on the emotional core of the plot.
Time travel expert Bubbawheat, Comic book authorities Jeanette and James, and whiskey drinking Thomas have everything explained for you. It’s as clear as a bowl of spaghetti. There is spoiler free talk for almost forty minutes, but when we drop the curtain, watch out if you want to still be surprised by a movie you haven’t seen.
