Lambcast #741 Deadpool and Wolverine

by Richard Kirkham · July 29, 2024 · Featured, LAMBcast · No Comments

One of the highly anticipated summer films opened this weekend, and the LAMB was there to take it in. Ryan Reynolds finds a way to dig Wolverine out of his grave and bring Hugh Jackman back to his signature role for the third in the irreverent “Deadpool” films. Is it a resurrection that works or should the whole thing be buried in the backyard? Our guests this week will answer that question and many more for you.

Jeffrey Lyles brings his comic book knowledge to the show to make sure we can get all the players on the scorecard. Bubbawheat is no slouch either when it comes to superheroes and the movies they inhabit. We plan on making Howard Casner do this show until he is 90, so of course he has some existential questions.

It looks like bringing Wolverine back is not the only miracle this crossover film is attempting. Before the Disney version of the MCU, there was the Fox stable of superheroes from Marvel, and those films get some of the love that “Deadpool and Wolverine” want to spread around.
