There are all kinds of movies that we never get around to seeing, even if we intend to. On top of that, there are films that movie snobs think you should see, and you frankly don’t care about.. Another problem might be that there are so many new films, that we just never get to the old ones. Whatever the cause or motivation, everyone has a mental list in their head of movies to get to. That is what we are going to explore this week. On Blindspot Alley
Howard Casner and Todd Liebenow join the show this week to reveal those movies that they have not gotten around to, but want to see. Todd followed a prompt down the Blind Spot Alley and is listing VHS versions of movies that he has in front of him. Howard, as hard as it is to believe, still has a few films that haunt his “need” to see list.
We are driven this week by guilt or ambition and the LAMBs try to explain which is the reason a movie ended up on their list. Some films we never knew about and some are simply intimidating. “Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles” threatens us with 3 hours and twenty two minutes of tedium, that everyone is afraid of.
The Exit Question also explains why we might skip some movies on our lists, “What if they suck?”
