Has Star Wars Fandom cooled off? A smaller than typical cast on the episode this week might suggest that, but the excited voices on the show would offer some counter-evidence. Disney is now giving us a movie based on a TV series rather than the other way around. The big question is simple, does it worK?

The Direct to Video Connoisseur, Matt Poirier, takes the reins as host this week and somehow he has to manage Todd Liebenow and Jeanette Ward into a focused discussion. With a few self admitted exceptions, this is the way. Puppetry takes center stage at one point, and it all connects, so no one was entirely off target.

Everyone on the show could see the seams that stitched a season’s worth of scripts into a two hour movie. Shifting big bads and obvious location changes suggest three story arcs that somehow come together, oh and there is a cold opening that sets the tone like a good 007 movie. With one big pause section at the start of the third act, the pacing on the film seems perfect to the guests, but everyone noticed the lull.

For the Exit Question, Matt wants to know how the guests would Lucasize the franchise., you know, go back and fix something you don’t like. Matt has the ultimate off the wall suggestion, and it comes from the least loved Star Wars project of all. You will have to listen to find out.
