I know you’ve all been eagerly awaiting the weekend so I’d finally announce the LAMB MOTM for June. That or so you can finally catch You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. I’m here to help you on the former, but if it’s the latter you seek, may I suggest professional help?
First, I’d like to thank all 17 (!) LAMB members who sent in their movie title suggestions. There were some great submissions...
This is just a reminder that your submissions for our first MOTM event are due by 12:00 p.m. (CST) tomorrow (Saturday). I’ve already received quite a few film suggestions that cover a vast array of genres, but if you’d like to add your two cents, email me your submission with your site name to [email protected]. See a list of rules here.
I will draw the lucky winner out of a hat (and by hat I mean my lucky martini...
Hello fellow LAMBs. Rachel here from Rachel’s Reel Reviews. We’re kicking off a new monthly LAMB event and I’ll be your hostess. So, for your consideration, behold the Lamb Movie of the Month (working title until further notice).
The Plan:
1. The first week of every month LAMBs will submit their suggestion for a possible movie for everyone to watch and review.
2. Anyone who wants to...
(Pictured l-r: Fletch, WaywardJam, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Nicole Kidman, Soundtrack Geek)
The remaining LAMMY winners had...
It wasn’t my intention to do what I’ve done just below. However, circumstances beyond my control have given me reason to think it necessary, or at least a good idea. Surely, there is the potential for someone to think “Hey, my best blogging buddy didn’t vote for me!,” though I certainly don’t think there’s much reason to (there’s a lot of competition, after all).
Either way, below you...
Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but there’s not much doubt about the winner of this category. News, reviews, video and more, all put together professionally made this a somewhat easy choice for the voters. This was the 5th most active category, with 69 total votes spread to 32 sites by 32 voters. The winner took the trophy while receiving a vote from 21.6% of the voters, the 13th highest percentage of all the...
This got a bit tricky, as a faux pas by me (not separating the named feature as a required field) led to some voters not putting in the name of the feature they were voting for. However, the winner here was named on all ballots and is fully deserving. This was the 11th most active category, with 49 total votes spread to 21 sites by 27 voters. The winner took the trophy while receiving a vote from 29.6% of the voters, the 8th highest...
All I have to say is, you’re the best…around! This was the 7th most active category, with 62 total votes spread to 16 sites by 31 voters. The winner took the trophy while receiving a vote from 58.1% of the voters, the highest percentage of all the categories.
The envelope please…
2nd place (tie): Getafilm (8 votes)
2nd place (tie): Random Ramblings of a Demented...
What’s in a name? Does it need to have “movie” or “film” in the title, all the better to be found on Google? Should it be funny? Does it do a good job of describing the writing that can be found at that URL? These must all be good questions, because it seems we all have quite a few different ideas about what makes a good name (34 sites received votes). This was the 2nd most active category, with 76 total votes...
