I am late with this so humble apologies, but on to this episode of LAMB Casting, this time focusing on the Mike Nichols’ classic Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. I am Andrew from Encore’s World of Film & TV and these are your results.
I will say, the casting has been going on for some months but this is the first time now single cast stood out as my favourite. Each of them had something going for...

This is Andrew from Encore’s World of Film & TV with another entry of LAMB Casting.
This week we’re going back in time…but like the entries for Doubt and A Streetcar Named Desire, you’ve got a little simple – only four characters to cast. Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? was a massive success in 1966, nominated for every single category at the time (save for Original...

This is Andrew from Encore’s World of Film & TV with another entry in LAMB Casting. Along with The Turning Point (1977), The Color Purple (1985) holds the unenviable prize of having the most Oscar nominations without winning – 11. For the last episode of LAMB Casting I asked you to cast the Spielberg classic. The five responses were all quite interesting, one more than another. They choices were:

Hey there, this is Andrew from Encore’s World of Film & TV with a new episode of LAMB Casting. It’s a special episode of sorts this week. The year is 1985 and the film is question is The Colour Purple, but instead of just recasting it we’re casting a musical version. The Colour Purple has transferred to Broadway with success and there have been whispers of bringing it back to the stage a la...

When Doubt came out in 2008 the panel was pretty much split down the middle, it seemed. Half seemed to love Meryl’s Aloysius giving it endless best of citations and the other half hated using Cherry Jones apparently atypical incarnation. I’ve never seen the lovely Jones on stage, so I can’t accredit the latter. I wasn’t too fond of Streep in Doubt. She was fine, but I hated her take on the character. In fact as someone...

Andrew here, from Encore’s World of Film & TV. I’m very late with this, but I’ve had a hectic week – which is no excuse but (shrugs) it is what it is. As usual I’m not revealing who the competitors were, but this week the lineup was very interesting. Six of you decided to recast 2008’s Awards hit of sorts and I’d rather watch each of these films than the actual cast…and I liked...

Hello, folks. This is Andrew from Encore’s World of Film & TV with another episode of LAMB Casting. I’m veering into recent times with this entry 2008’s Oscar nominated Doubt. I know you’re probably all queasy at the thought of recasting La Streep herself, but she’s probably busy prepping herself for this year’s ceremony so reading LAMB is probably low on her list of...

Morning, folks. Andrew from Encore’s World of Film & TV, I’m here to give you the results for the first episode of LAMB Casting – my new feature. The task was to cast A Streetcar Named Desire, classic film with Viven Leigh and Marlon Brando directed by the legendary Elia Kazan. Four imaginative LAMBs gave me their choices on who should play Stanley, Blanche, Mitch and Stella. I’d like to thank them all...

Andrew here again from Encore’s World of Film & TV. Thanks to all the participants in the first run of LAMB Casting. We now move on to the second portion of the exercise; you LAMBs must now decide which of the casts is best. Because I’m neurotic like that I’m going to omit the names of the participants to make the voting that more fun. So here are the four options, do your voting.
CHOOSE A CAST(answers)
I know,...
