Maybe it’s just the summer doldrums (hopefully coming to an end soon – thanks a lot, Nic Cage!), but I feel like the LAMB could use a little “pick me up.” Due to a number of reasons (a busy Nick, an AWOL Big Mike, a busy Fletch), we’ve had some features go stagnant and/or never really get started, such as Interview With a LAMBpire, the next “battle” event...
It’s a sad thing to think about, but every now and then, a LAMB dies.
Of course, I’m referring to a site being shut down – not an actual person or lamb leaving us. With the help of the LAMB’s art director (Mrs. Fletch) and the notices of a few new fallen homies from soon-to-be LAMB Jose (http://worldsbestfilms.blogspot.com/), I’ve updated the profile pages for our dead LAMBs with the following...

There is one week left to vote for your Top 10 Horror films in our continuing top 10 by genre countdowns. There are currently 27 votes. However, I’m fairly certain that the LAMB has at least 27 dedicated horror blogs alone (not to mention those others that also included horror as one of their site categories), and but a small fraction have voted so far. I was asked by a LAMB recently ways to get more involved with the site and/or get more traffic from the LAMB. Here were my suggestions, just in case anyone else is wondering:
* Send in Chops (for your own site or others)
* Participate in ‘battle’ events like Sirens or LAMB Action Hero
* Submit a Random LAMB Banner (200 x 90) to get more visual exposure
* Refer traffic to the LAMB and get onto the LAMB...

* One point will be awarded for correctly identifying a movie that finishes in the top 10.

A couple times over the last few months, I’ve asked the LAMBs to take part in a little quiz I set up to gauge the demographics of the site authors that have joined. Participation ran pretty high, with 60 sites answering (out of a possible 95 or so).
Not surprisingly, the profile of your average LAMB author matches that of the usual stereotypical computer geek: a straight, single white American male between the ages of 26-35....
