It’s Blusterin’ Time!

If you’re new to this feature or need a refresher, click the label at the bottom of this post and see the previous posts. Otherwise, here are the basics:

What I do is list a site; you critique it. But here’s the catch: to induce the most honest reactions, don’t leave the comment using your normal alias/login – instead, go anonymous, and be as brutally honest (or complimentary) as you wish to be. Also, be specific, and naturally, don’t be rude. If I deem anything inappropriate, I’ll have no problem deleting the comment.

Site: Japan Cinema
LAMB#: 311
URL: http://japancinema.net

And remember: Blustering should be a two-way street; if you’ve asked to be blustered, you better be a blusterer.

If you would like to have your blog blustered by fellow LAMBs, please send me an email containing your site’s info and “Bluster Me!” in the subject line.

  1. I think it’s a great looking site, my only complaint is that I typically right click most links and open them in new tabs, but I’m not easily able to do that. Because of whatever tech used here, I’m not given the option when right clicking on the “more” button or the text title of the article. While it does work on the picture used for the article, it took me a while to get to that point. But a minor issue in an otherwise great looking site.

  2. The first page took a while to load, possibly because of the different types of images and videos present. But once I got past that I found a lot of really good articles on films that I haven’t heard of yet. Nice looking site!

  3. Really enjoyable read. Took a little while to load but worth it when it did. Great reviews and interesting articles.

  4. The site looks great, has a clean, simple design, with great colours. It has a specific theme, so I presume only certain people visit your website; if you’re happy with that and it is your goal to satisfy only Japanese cinema lovers, I think you have achieved your goal. If you want to appeal to a larger audience, I would suggest adding more articles like the ones you have in your top 8 most commented posts and advertise them more. Great job, either way!
