LAMBcast #118: Brian Roan vs. the World

by Dylan · June 10, 2012 · LAMBcast, Podcasts · 1 Comment

From the onset, this seemed like a bad idea – one podcast, eight people.  Our previous high for participants on a LAMBcast was six, and my general line of thinking is that any more than five leaves the potential for listener overload, particularly if the listener is not familiar with all of the voices that they’re hearing.  But the thought of throwing seven fans of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World against one hater was just too tantalizing not to give a try.  And so we did…and believe it or not, it was not chaos (most of the time), and we didn’t talk over each other and no one ended up dead or even injured.  So listen in as Brian Roan takes on Joanna, Fredo, Lindsay, Jason, Nick, Dylan and first-time LAMBcaster George (aka Sir Phobos).

Also on tap:

* Rants of the Week
* Raves of the Week
* Last LAMB Standing

A couple notes:

* The show can be found, of course, via iTunes – just do a search for “LAMBcast.” Also, I always post a link to the show on the LAMBcast’s Facebook page, and there’s a player there if you’d like to listen online.

* Shows will eventually make their way to the LAMBcast Archives. If you’d ever like to catch up on back episodes, go there.

* If you’re interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster – we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod’s Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. Opening song by Cake. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too – if you’d like yours read on a future show, leave it in the comments section at the LAMB. Please visit and like our Facebook page, and finally, we’re on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it’s a bad one.

Thanks for listening!

One Response to LAMBcast #118: Brian Roan vs. the World

    This was a great episode. Brian Roan really held his own and gave some really well thought out arguments to people’s praises about the movie. I will say this. If “Scott Pilgrim vs The World” only had focused on Scott and Ramona and no one else. I would hate this movie too. It’s the other characters that made me like this. Plus I like refrences to 8 and 16 bit videogames.
