Ready Player One is just a couple of weeks away from being released, and it’s a film we at the Lambcast are pretty excited about, so it seemed like the perfect time to celebrate the career of one of the greatest directors working today, and the best way we know to celebrate something is to critique, debate and flat-out fight over it in a draft.

Jay Cluitt was joined by Heather Baxendale, Richard Kirkham, Jeanette Ward and Matthew Stewart to trial out this new-fangled Director Draft format, and frankly we all reckon it turned out pretty darn good. So take off your hat, sit back in your customised Bridge of Spies chair, grab a handful of Reese’s Pieces and enjoy a show that is most certainly better than a kick in the dick.

  2. […] A few weeks ago on the Lambcast we held a draft of Steven Spielberg movies, since then you’ve been voting on the teams, and now it’s time to reveal the results! Victory goes to Richard, whose team of Jaws, E.T., The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and A.I.: Artificial Intelligence was deemed the best team by enough people to award him first place in the poll, despite having E.T. but not a single Indiana Jones film in there. Must be all the love for The Lost World. Here are the full results: If you have any suggestions for future drafts, leave a note in the comments! […]
