Lambcast #564 WW84

by Richard Kirkham · December 30, 2020 · LAMBcast · No Comments

So it has finally arrived, one of the first big movies of 2020 that got postponed due to Covid, Wonder Woman 84 makes it debut on Christmas Day, in theaters and streaming on HBO Max.

Howard Casner sits in as host while Richard is traveling and neglecting his duties here. Don’t worry, you are in good hands as Howard and his guests Audrey, Fox, Thomas Stoneham-Judge, Jeanette Ward and Cameron Kanachki, take on the task of reviewing, dissecting and re-writing this new entry from DC in their floundering Extended Universe. The previous film, Wonder Woman (2017) was favorably reviewed as a stabilizing force for the DC franchise.

There are some danger signs though, starting with not one but two villains, and a run time that is two and a half hours. You won’t have to wait long into the podcast to see if the Lamb League feels that WW84 extends a short hitting streak for the DCEU.

As a bonus, you get the usual Rants, Raves and Reviews, and a game so complex and diabolical, you will “Wonder” that anyone wins [spoiler: they do].

So come on in for some fashion tips, music criticism and general grousing once again about the differences between the MCU films and the DC movies. You may be surprised, but not necessarily happy.
