Most people anticipate a new Martin Scorsese movie, the way an eight year old looks forward to Christmas. We can hardly stand the time it takes to arrive, we want to shake the packages under the tree, and we hope that there will be joy when the gift is opened. Sometimes parents learn that the box is the bigger attraction than what was inside. Is that what happened with “Killers of the Flower Moon? Did Santa deliver, or did we get some sox from grandma?
Daniel Lackey and Howard Casner join the show, as the mysterious survivors of a guest list that started at five, can they be trusted? Two guests wasted away, and one was done in by a power outage that is suspicious in nature. You will have to listen to tell if the two guests are sincere in their opinions or if they are just seeking to inherit your podcast rights.
White guys plotting to steal oil rights from Native Americans by way of matrimony and death, is the simplest way to summarize the machinations of characters played by stars Robert DeNiro and Leonardo DiCaprio. Our conversation seems to boil it down even further, Scorsese makes a Western Mob Movie, complete with cowboys and Indians. With the exception of the supporting players, there may not be much that is new here. There are parts for a great collection of character actors, Native American actresses, and musicians moonlighting as actors.
