It’s a new year, but we still have time to look back on the last one. The Awards Season is just beginning, no new films are crowding the marketplace at the moment, and a pause before plunging into 2025 seems like the right thing to do.

Your guests this week had almost forty different films to include on the five lists for the folks who were actually on the show. There were eight “Pineapple Kiosk” moments, otherwise the list would have been substantially longer. At least three of the lists included the same animated feature that some consider an early favorite for the Animation Academy Award.

Plenty of surprises made the list, and since at least one of the guests was located in a nation with a different release schedule, we got a couple of leftovers from 2023. Films that debuted in 2023 Film Festivals but did not get a release until 2024 also made the lists a little more interesting and diverse.

Nearly 25% of the films on our lists would be classified as horror films, perhaps revealing a genre bias in the LAMB community (Big Surprise). Oh, and Thomas Stoneham-Judge pulled a fast one by giving us his fifteen through six pics, and forcing us to go to his site to find out what his real top five are (You should do so in spite of the subterfuge).

It is an Epic Show of nearly two and a half hours, but you will discover some movies you may not have known about, as well as learning the quirks of the guests as they justify their choice. Have Fun!.
