The October MOTM is a horror film every year, and this time out the community was offered a number of horror film remakes to choose from. Luca Guadagnino made his version of the film in diametrically different ways from the Dario Argento film from 1977. The length of the film, the color palate and the grafting of new themes are all attempts to distinguish the new from the old. Was that a successful effort. There are some people on the show who thought so, but there was also a revervation.
The Vern, from Cinema Recall, championed the movie so he leads the discussion. If there is an equivalent to a pheromone to attract film lovers to a podcast, it is talking horror films and waving the scent in front of Lisa Leaheey. She joins the episode with at least 3 distinct points to make.

Come have a listen and decide if the film is worthy of it’s name.
