The Lambcast approaches the hot-button issue of the lack of recognition for female directors in its own way this week, by holding a draft show celebrating female directors and the films they’ve made!
Jay Cluitt was joined by Mette Kowalski, Nicole Ayers, Nikhat Zahra and Todd Liebenow to each compete in forming the best “Team” of movies directed by women. You’ll be able to vote for the team you think is best in a day or so, but for now you should listen to the show. It’s a little different from most drafts as the aim here wasn’t just to make the best team but also to enlighten the listens on some female-directed films they may not be familiar with, so expect to write down a recommendation or two during the show!
Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week and a couple of rounds of Last Lamb Standing, female actor/director special!
The show can be found, of course, via iTunes – just do a search for “LAMBcast” or listen and download to it on Podomatic here: http://lambcast.podomatic.com/entry/2016-04-20T15_49_08-07_00
Shows will eventually make their way to the LAMBcast Archives.
If you’d ever like to catch up on back episodes, go there. If you’re interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster – we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums.
