The special programs on the Lambcast continue to draw the greatest interest from the community. We have a full slate of podcasters this week, who rolled up their sleeves to roll up a top five list for you. As usual, we had no idea what was coming, because no one was required to clear their choices beforehand. The result is another eclectic set of lists that were fascinating to talk about and should encourage you to shop, think and act.
Nicole Ayers of Mad Lab Post, found some inspiring quotes to live by in her selection of movies. She also talked about a project that maybe we all ought to get behind, Love Bomb. Let’s send some good vibes out in the universe as we speak in our everyday conversations as if we were living out the characters in a movie.
The world is full of cynical tough guys and Dave Anderson of Free Kittens Movie Guide has the director for the movies about those men. Robert Aldrich made some of the best films of the 60s and 70s and the choices you get on this week’s show prove that in spades.
Those of you nostalgic for the 1980s, will treasure Todd Liebenow’s list of underappreciated teen films from that now forty year old decade. Don’t think too hard about the math or you might notice how really old you are.
An old reliable comes back to the podcast, no I’m not talking about Jason Soto, I’m talking about his topic, recasting films with the Muppets. This time he is just working out the genres, frankly, we all want to see the Wes Anderson Muppet Road movie. Meanwhile, Richard will have you seeing double as his list consists of some of his favorite “Twin” movies. “Deep Impact” and “Armageddon” don’t make an appearance, but Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Edward Norton all have a surprise to pull out of their hats.
It’s a slightly longer show but you will be happy to get lost on all the paths that the podcasters take this week. No game this time out, but a very solid discussion on the Exit Question “What Stars can still put your butt in a theater Seat?’ Come find out who does it for us.
