The March Movie of the Month is an exploitation thriller that doubles as a disaster film. If there are consistent threads in the 70s wave of disaster pictures it was that Irwin Allen Produced them or Charlton Heston starred in them. The outsized producer is absent this week but we do get Moses on the show. This was the first of two films centered on a terror attack at the championship game of American Football. “Black Sunday” came out a year later and is probably better remembered, but “Two Minute Warning” has a cast that may trump the other movie in the end.
Dave Anderson of the “Free Kittens Movie Guide” promoted the film and takes over as host for the episode. His addition to disaster films and his nostalgic memories of seeing this with his Father are two of the reason he wanted to talk about it. Matthew Simpson from the “Awesome Friday Podcast” returns as our regular on the MOTM show, and he has a couple of dissenting opinions here and there. “Blogging by Cinema Light” author James Wilson joins the show with his own memories of seeing the film in 1976. Oh, there is a helicopter in the film, but it doesn’t explode, so we got Will Slater form “Exploding Helicopter” to explain why.

If you ever wanted a tour of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, this is the episode for you. Not only is the venue heavily featured in the film, your regular host is full of information about the iconic stadium and takes some time to fill you in on all sorts of details.

A cast of thousands and a host of stars fill the movie with potential victims, and the movie has some pretty violent deaths to linger over. Dave also came up with a short version of Jeopardy/Lambpardy, so if you have been missing that feature, we have a small fix for you.
