Happy New Year from the LAMB! To celebrate the occasion, here’s a shiny new bonus episode of the Lambcast, and what will hopefully be the start of an annual tradition. Mercilessly (and with consent) ripped off from the Title Pending Movie Podcast we’re proud to present the 2019 Box Office Draft, in which a bunch of Lambcast regulars from around the world (four continents, five countries, maybe seven time zones) gathered together to predict the highest grossing films of 2019.
The player with the eventually highest score will win bragging rights for 12 months, until the next tournament comes along. We’re including all international earnings, and films released in 2018 could be picked, but only their 2019 takings will be counted. There were six films picked each, but only the top five from each player will be included in the final total, in case something gets cancelled, pushed back etc.
So without further ado, let’s get to the show! The competitors are your regular hosts, Jay and Richard, alongside Nick, Troy, Jeanette. DJ, Getter, Darren, Doug, Tony, Cameron and Rob. The final teams will be posted in a poll in the next few days so you can vote on who you think will win, but for now listen to the fun time we all had!
The show can be found, of course, via iTunes – just do a search for “LAMBcast.” Also, I always post a link to the show on the LAMBcast’s Facebook page, and there’s a player there if you’d like to listen online. Find the show here: https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/lambcast/episodes/2019-01-01T01_41_15-08_00. Shows will eventually make their way to the LAMBcast Archives. If you’d ever like to catch up on back episodes, go there. If you’re interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster – we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod’s Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. Opening song by Cake. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too – if you’d like yours read on a future show, leave it in the comments section at the LAMB. Please visit and like our Facebook page, and finally, we’re on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it’s a bad one. Thanks for listening!
