Mel Brooks Turns 100 the week we are doing a MOTM with Comedy as the Genre, screw the poll, this is what we are going to talk about, and there is plenty to cover. Gen X and Millennials will happy to know that “Spaceballs” gets a lot of love (except from the host). Everyone except Howard agrees on what Brooks best film is, and we do a deep dive into all the actors who contributed to the films (and stick Harvey Korman at the end just because).

Our friend James Wilson returns to the show after a long absence, and Aaron Neuwirth is back with his usual, well informed and potentially wrong opinions. The Vern and Howard Casner are missing a few films in their Brooks filmography, but that didn’t keep them away or discourage them from offering opinions. No one beats the cast of this week’s show in their admiration of the great Madeline Kahn, and “Silent Movie” makes a lot of noise when we get to our rankings.

There is not a surprise when it comes to the top Brooks films in our rankings, but after the top four, there was a wide variety of opinions, although the lowest of his films was a consensus bottom dweller. To find out, you have to come listen.
