It seemed inevitable that The Thing would finally become the MOTM, after a couple progressively better showings in the polls (just as it seems inevitable that The Third Man will win one of these months). With every September comes a new NFL season, and with it, hordes of people that obsess over it, and probably just as many that wish it would just go away, as it becomes a part of life that’s difficult to evade (if you were trying to). The intersection of movies and sports isn’t one that I find a ton of people crossing, and on top of that, the LAMB is, of course, an international organization while the NFL is undeniably American,...

Yes, this post commemorating the results of the last poll is roughly a month old, considering it was about the Oscars. Better late than never, no?
Nothing much to interpret with them, either, as I was gauging interest in the Oscars telecast. With an audience of (mostly, I would assume) film bloggers, a tally of 71% with at least marginal interest and 52% with religious interest seems par for the course.
