Andrew here. Hold back your angry diatribes, this past month has just been horrendously busy hence the extreme lateness in the results for LAMB Casting. But, fear no more, the results are here. Before we go there, let’s just take a look at the four options that came in for recasting the Oscar winning 1967 piece which is a significant part of cinematic history for Stanley Kramer, Katharine Hepburn, Sidney Poitier and Spencer Tracy.
Andrew here, late as usual with the next round of LAMB Casting. We’re going back to the sixties and re-casting Stanley Kramer ostensible civil rights’ drama, the Oscar winning Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. And four of you LAMBs submitted some top notch choices. Now, it’s up to the rest of you to vote.
Guess Who’s coming to take on these classic roles… What do you...Andrew here, with another film to cast for LAMB Casting. I decided I’d opt for a film with the lovely Katharine Hepburn who readers of my blog would know that I adore. We’ve been casting a number of youthful roles recently, so we’re turning to the mature this time re-casting the seven principals of the film (four of whom were Oscar nominated).
So, it’s your job to recast the following:
Matt Drayton...
Andrew here with the results of LAMB Casting for the wilder classic Sabrina. it’s been our most popular episode yet with a whopping nine entries and a just as whopping (for me at least) 74 votes. Let’s get straight to the lineup.
Brian Hewson of Brian vs Movies chose this cast:
EMMA WATSON (Sabrina); JEREMY RENNER (Linus); MICHAEL FASSBENDER (David)
Now that the...
Andrew here. Am I late with this? I never know if I’m going or coming really, but I’m here with the options for you to vote and this month we’re recasting the Billy Wilder classic Sabrina. I’d have a lot of money if I had a dollar for every time us bloggers bitch about terrible romantic comedies, so think of this as a way for you to make your own romantic comedy – mixing and matching. We’ve...
Andrew here. Just in case you wanted to take part in the latest LAMB Casting episode, but forgot or were just lazy (like I usually am) you have until Saturday night to send me your submissions. We’re recasting the main principals of Sabrina and you just need to send me your ideas at dangerous.liaison231[@]yahoo.com. Be as original as possible.
Good...
Andrew here, with another film for you to recast. We went classic last month and re-casted All About Eve (brilliantly, I might add) and we’re going classic again. From poor eve to Sabrina, i.e. Sabrina. I shall confess that Audrey Hepburn does not make me full of glee, although she seems lovely I don’t like Sabrina much. But, I’m interested to see how you’d recast it.
So,...
Andrew here with the results for the latest round of LAMB Casting. I actually got on email from one of the participants in this month’s competition, so I suppose my lateness speaks for itself. On to the casts…
All About Eve is a fine encapsulation of classic cinema, and all six LAMB Casters did some interesting things with the recasting.
Shane of Film Actually gave us this...
Andrew here. I’ve received your entries for LAMB Casting this month, recasting the 1950 classic All About Eve – and they sure are inspired. Now it’s time for all you LAMB members (and non-members) to start voting. Sure, you’re probably tired from voting for the LAMMY’s and what not (bombard Rachel if you want your results, ha) but this is simple. Just one click. You’ve got some great options...
Karen is there wondering when you’re going to send in your ideas for recasting All About Eve. That’s the feature movie this month on LAMB Casting. We’re recasting the principal players and you have until next Thursday to send in your ideas.
Margo Channing (originally played by Bette Davis)
Eve Harrington (originally played by Anne Baxter)
Bill Sampson...
Andrew here, with another episode of LAMB Casting. We took a relatively new film the last time with P. T. Anderson’s Magnolia but this month we return to our classic roots and are recasting Joseph L. Mankiewicz’s 1950 Best Picture winner All About Eve. It’s a notorious ensemble (featuring one Oscar winning and four Oscar nominated performances) and it’s appeared time and time again on list of ...
