    Trailer Trashing with Vern!
Greetings. You are all my children now. Sorry, sorry. I caught the ending of "A Nightmare one Elm Street Part 2"on TV yesterday and I had that line stuck in my head. Only one more day til it's Halloween and while most of you are still re cooperating from the parties you threw. I thought it would be best to post some classic and at least one brand new horror trailer....

LAMBScores: Resurrecting a Pet with a Particular Set of Skills

Here’s another edition of the LAMBScores, just in time for Halloween. Although Frankenweenie is the only film that’s really related to the holiday, I’m sure you can find something to be scared about when it comes to Taken 2. Throw in some teenage angst with The Perks of Being a Wallflower and America’s favorite...

    The next MOTM will be…

It was another patented two-horse race for the MOTM.  It seems all of these end up that way, as a handful of films will open up an early lead, but as time goes on, people change votes and/or only vote for one of the top dogs, knowing that votes for the others won’t go anywhere (hey, that sounds like the American political system!).  Anyway, it was a close race between The Princess Bride and Licence to Kill,...

    Lamb Chop-Ups # 2 – 2

Welcome back to the return of Lamb Chop-Ups brought to you by Bubbawheat. I’ve been away for a bit because I moved and have a lot less free time with my job now, but I plan to continue bringing these games every Monday. If this is your first time playing, I have a word spelled out from cut up movie posters. Your job is to guess which movie each letter came from. There’s also a bonus movie that is not pictured, but is hinted at by...

    The Festival Experience: Sundance/Tribeca/TIFF

    The Festival Experience
Hello, fellow LAMBs. This is Shala from Life Between Film. I volunteered some months back to provide film festival tips and guides since I have become a regular festival goer the last couple of years. So I’m starting now as the 2013 festival season is gearing up. Now, I have never claimed to be a festival expert nor do I have industry credentials and connections like some may have, but I have...

    Poll Results, New Poll!

Well the last poll was certainly the clash of the Bond films. The two top dogs were old-school classic Goldfinger and the semi-rebooty Casino Royale. In the end Goldfinger won with a mere vote making it one of the closest polls we have had in a while. Coming in on third place was License to Kill hence helped by Dan Heaton campaigning it for the Movie of the Month maybe (even though I’d say its by far the best Bond film).

    When...

A first Impression of Netflix Sweden!

Well as some of you have heard Netflix finally reached Scandinavia this last week. Fellow LAMB and Swede Emil from A Swede Talks Movies was kind enough to let us know what his first impression of it. If you are Netflix veterans I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on the Swedish opening so far. Check out Emil’s text after the jump!
