Last week, it was the 16th entry in the James Bond franchise, Licence to Kill, featured as the prior MOTM; this month, the 23rd (and, of course, most recent) entry, Skyfall, taking the center stage of the LAMBcast. To make things even more fitting, we even got a Brit to handle the hosting duties, as Simon Columb made his return to the show to preside over the festivities. He was joined by Bond expert Fogs, as well as...
It seemed only fitting that, after a hard-fought battle against The Princess Bride, the 16th entry in the James Bond series, Licence to Kill, won out in the last MOTM poll. It turned out to be a film of discovery for several of us on the accompanying LAMBcast – some continued to love it, some not so much, but it’s fair to say we all learned a bit more Bond history: why this film might have been received so...
On the slate this week is a few movies that don’t seem to be getting a lot of love this fall. First off, we see another adaptation of the John Patterson novels with Alex Cross, starring an out-of-fat-suit Tyler Perry. Well isn’t this exciting. The first LAMBScores post on the new layout and it’s about three films that were all eagerly anticipated in their own ways. With Argo, we continue to see Ben Affleck’s high caliber talent as both an actor and director. With Sinister, we see Ethan Hawke...
As you may or may not know, the LAMB turns five years old on Halloween (10/31/12). I’m not sure what tricks Joel might have up his sleeve to celebrate the occasion (I know he’s hard at work on a site re-design, but I doubt it’ll be ready in time), but we are planning on marking the milestone with a special LAMBcast (to be recorded this Sunday).
This is where I’d like for you to get involved. ...
